Sharp turn in my career... I started all over again from position of Deck cadet (even though I was already 7 years Navy officer).However, skills that I already had at the time, helped me to grow very fast in my civilian career. I was Deck cadet for one year on the same ship without signing off. Afterwards, I became Third officer on my second ship and on my fourth ship I was already Second officer. In mean time I studied Maritime university and upon completion I took Captain's exams and became fully licensed Master on ships over 3000gt unlimited.
