At IQM Quantum Computers, I designed QPU layouts and performed FEM simulations for QPU elements and test chips. I led a major qubit coherence project, driving improvements and managing a team of over 10 researchers. My work included filing 7 patents, submitting 22 Notices of Invention, and protecting 2 trade secrets. I also supported the development of Energy-Participation-Ratio (EPR) software to enhance qubit designs and reduce TLS-losses.

Grenoble Area, France

During my PhD at CNRS (Neel Institute), I achieved a 99.4% single-shot readout fidelity of transmon molecule states using TWPA device. Such high fidelity was also enabled by a quantum non-demolition (QND) performance of 99%, limited only by initialization errors. This exceptional readout quality allowed me to measure quantum trajectories and investigate the behavior of transmon molecules.Achieving these results required substantial improvements to the transmon molecules, including redesigning the circuit to boost coherence times from 3.3 µs to over 20 µs. Further optimization of nanofabrication recipes extended T1 to over 120 µs.The work involved meticulous experimentation, measurements, and fine-tuning of the microwave experimental setup. I programmed and executed sequential time-domain experiments, calculated spectroscopic parameters, and performed HFSS modeling to refine capacitances and reduce electric field amplitudes. Additionally, I created fully automated CAD designs with Python’s gdsCAD, nanofabricated fifteen 2-inch wafers, and enhanced sample production rates by 20% through optical mask lithography. I also operated and maintained a dilution refrigerator, contributing to the comprehensive development of transmon molecules through precise design, fabrication, and experimental techniques.

At the Russian Quantum Center, where I embarked on my journey into superconducting qubits, I immersed myself in microwave spectroscopy of over 50 coherent superconducting structures, including qubits coupled with CPWs and cavities. I performed spectral calculations and evaluated coupling strengths between transmons, significantly advancing our understanding of these systems.I operated and maintained a Bluefors LD-250 dilution refrigerator and managed the lab’s daily operations. I made substantial improvements to the microwave spectroscopy setup, designing and producing a lead magnetic shield and sample holders that tripled the number of samples measured per cryogenic cycle. Additionally, I set up, adjusted, and commissioned a 3D waveguide for investigating multi-qubit chains, which enhanced our ability to perform quantum simulations. My work also involved the calculation and design of 3D transmons, crucial for our experimental endeavors.Driven by a deep passion for quantum computing, I relocated to Moscow to join this pioneering group, fully committing myself to advancing the field and maintaining the operational excellence of our lab.
