AWSMonitor eventually replaced Elastic Cloud Gate subscription-based product (ecloudgate.com/Features) in our company (2000+ EC2s) and further allowed us to schedule custom jobs in AWS such as Linux and Windows scripting jobs, AMI & Disaster Recovery, HW inventory, as well as implemented custom alerts (email, SMS), expanded AWS WorkSpace management and OS patching. Beyond saving $$$ thousands on subscription fees, AWSMonitor saves our company *20-50K USD monthly* on AWS bills by turning off/on AWS resources, running inventory and Billing reports and alerts and reporting on unused resources. In addition to leveraging AWS Systems Manager I developed a windows service for auditing, monitoring, and patching WorkSpaces and EC2 Instances.
