"Together we can make a world where cancer no longer means living with fear, without hope, or worse." ―Patrick SwayzeA partner collaboration between Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the BC Cancer Agency (BCCA) to design a marketing campaign that promotes BCCA's emotional support resources including available cancer support groups, counseling therapies, Cancer Chat, and Cancer Connection. The focus of the project involves developing campaign messaging and visual designs for communication materials that include elevator wraps, posters, pamphlets, business cards, informational slideshow, and an online webpage.The marketing campaign was awarded the 3M Health Care Quality Team Award based on a poll by the healthcare community. 156 patients/families and 205 staff voted on the campaign messaging and the visual design. The "evaluation showed a 300% increase in cancerchat.canada, a 44% jump in perception of emotional support by patients, and a significant improvement in the awareness of the emotional support resources by staff, patients, and families."
