    PHAP is a competitive two-year fellowship managed by CDC's National Center for STLT Public Health Infrastructure and Workforce. Fellows are placed in the field at partner host sites where they gain on-the-job experience while completing a comprehensive training curriculum. I was assigned to the Minnesota Department of Health's (MDH) Center for Health Equity (CHE), and my work addressed health equity/access to care. I deployed to Minnesota's COVID-19 response effort through the MDH COVID-19 Community Coordinators (CCC) initiative from October 2020-March 2021. Among various assignments, I served as lead COVID-19 test site staffing coordinator for the state-run test sites hosted at National Guard armories throughout MN. From April-July 2021, I supported and provided some leadership to the State Action Team, a subcommittee of the One Minnesota Council focused on eradicating racism, alongside the MN Governor's Office of Equity and Inclusion. I assisted the Health Equity and Advisory Leadership (HEAL) Council until October 2021. From October 2021-October 2022, I served as testing resource coordinator with the Tribal Healthcare COVID-19 Response Team and research/evaluation associate within the CHE.
