My professional life started when I was 16, as a salesman at Plug & Use, an IT store at Ibirapuera Shopping. What it was supposed to be a temporary job against my will, made me face challenges and provided me achievements that made me appreciate where I was. The challenge of being a kid in 1998 that had to sell something high cost with very little information about the product and market (a computer cost 4k/5k and a notebook more than 10k – at the time this was a lot of money) and had to gain people’s trust and consumer’s choice became my motivation to reach results and gratification. That’s when my story started. After the shop, I was invited to work at an International Marketing Consultancy as a sales promoter for Palm; the paycheck was less than half what I made at the shop, but the opportunity was great. I worked in this position for 4 months and was soon promoted to Merchandising Supervisor and Account Coordinator. I was a part of the Pocket PC handheld startup in Brazil, the Telefonica’s Speed startup, and worked for years with Microsoft, planning marketing for brands like LG, Samsung, Intel, Nestle, Maccann Erikson, Motivare…In 2008, I decided to open my own business, using the great knowledge I gather from all these places to create something I truly believed in, and that was how MINT was born. The name came from a bar talk with friends and the initiative was contested by many as craziness, but the results have been nothing but amazing. The company started to grow, partners came and today we live a lifetime dream; with more than 60 collaborators, we serve market’s greatest from several fields, closing deals with companies from around the world – we even went to India to close a joint venture with large enterprises of software development. The story’s still being written and through our great partnerships we will continue to write great breakthroughs.
