Mr. Matheney has worked with Metro Analytics on two occasions in a full-time capacity. Metro Analytics has also been a client of Studio Draco since 2008. During his time with Metro, Mr. Matheney has completed several transportation planning projects and studies throughout the United States including national research for NCHRP. Some of those projects include NCHRP 20-125: Strategies for Incorporating Resilience into Transportation Networks, 2022 Alabama Statewide Freight Plan Update, SR 9/SR 17 Corridor Solutions Development Project (UDOT), and several freight plans and profiles in Georgia and Ohio. In addition, Mr. Matheney’s duties included GIS Analysis and Data Management, Visualization and Dashboard Development, Deputy Project Manager, and Graphics Development. Mr. Matheney was also highly involved in proposal development, website development, and other marketing activities for Metro Analytics.

Mr. Matheney opened a part-time freelance graphic design and web development firm in 2007. Over the years he has worked on a variety of graphic design and web development projects including logo design, e-commerce platforms, full branding packages, newsletters, banners, t-shirts, and other items. In addition, he has worked with many planning firms to make various planning documents aesthetically pleasing in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Mr. Matheney has worked with ms consultants on three occasions over the years. During those 20 years of service, he has completed hundreds of transportation planning-related projects. Those projects ranged from small culvert replacements to major interchange replacements. He worked in various capacities including GIS Analysis, Transportation Planner, Environmental Planner, Noise Analyst, and Survey Technician through the years. Duties included GIS and data management, noise modeling, field data collection, online GIS dashboard development, visualization development, public involvement, and outreach, amongst many other various tasks.

Mr. Matheney worked part-time from 09/2004 to 11/2004 for Wilbur Smith Associates until a time a full-time position opened up. At Wilbur Smith Associates, Mr. Matheney developed GIS mapping and performed GIS analysis for a variety of Transportation Planning and Modeling Projects ranging from Corridor Studies to Comprehensive Master Plans to Light Rail Environmental Impact Statements. Mr. Matheney was also heavily involved in the development of proposal and public meeting visualizations and graphics.

While at Ensign Engineering, Mr. Matheney worked with civil engineers to develop commercial site plans, drainage plans and GIS mapping. He utilized both Microstation and ArcGIS to develop commercial site mapping.

At Cunningham Engineering Mr. Matheney served as a land surveying instrument technician, performing land survey tasks such as level loops and geodetic surveys for various transportation, infrastructure, and commercial projects.

While in the US Air Force, Mr. Matheney performed various duties including the day-to-day maintenance of the Base Comprehensive Plan. The Base Comprehensive plan was an asset management GIS database of all infrastructure assets at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. In addition, Mr. Matheney spent part of his enlistment as a part of the base land surveying team.
