I grew up watching an abnormal amount of "How It's Made" videos. Enchanted by the intertwined machinery and perfect synchronization, I knew that I wanted to become an engineer in the future. Therefore, I decided to major in chemical engineering. Why? Because there’s a lot of chemicals involved in manufacturing, right?…Well, in retrospect, the type of engineering I once sought was probably more suited towards mechanical engineering. Nevertheless, I still fell in love with chemical engineering, from the vast array of different industries and roles available to the lovely people I met in the major at UCLA. With the current state of the world, I became especially interested in the field of sustainability, leading my participation and leadership in multiple renewable energy projects at UCLA. After my graduation, I decided to pursue a career as an Environmental Engineer, and joined LA Sanitation & Environment to contribute both to a more sustainable Los Angeles and give back to the community around me. With the everchanging world around us, it's my mission to help better the world, one step at a time.
