I am responsible for managing the core practices in the British Columbia region by providing vision and direction, setting and implementing strategy, and driving the British Columbia team to achieve their goals. With eleven years of experience in the management of hazardous materials, I bring a strong technical background and business acumen to my role in providing leadership to Pinchin’s business development activities and project management. My background includes assessments, management programs, and designing & monitoring remediation programs, I have completed over 3,800 projects on behalf of Pinchin Ltd. This experience allows me to assess businesses needs from a dynamic perspective, and deliver high level solutions for clients’ unique needs that minimize risk and maximize returns.

As Director, it was my responsibility to manage and supervise Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, as well as manage hazardous materials assessment and abatement projects of all sizes. I worked with Indoor Environmental Quality Services, Occupational Health and Safety, and Building Science, to provide clients with high quality service and address hazardous material concerns in a cost effective manner. I have extensive experience managing hazardous material projects in complex environments, and my experience includes project management and field work for asbestos abatement, hazardous material surveys, and mould assessment/ remediation projects.I managed the largest Hazardous Material team in British Columbia, which offers consistently high quality, cost-effective service to our clients. Because of our size, and with staff located remotely, we are able to service the entire province and complete projects faster and more efficiently than our competitors. I took pride in being the ‘go-to’ company for hazardous material services in British Columbia.

As Operations Manager, I worked closely with commercial property managers, real estate property managers, institutional clients, health care facilities, school districts and utility companies. I developed technical specifications; prepared budgets, proposals and contracts; and, tender documents. My projects involved management and coordination of hazardous materials surveys, visual observations and sampling of materials such as asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls, and lead-based paints from various client properties/facilities across British Columbia. I was also responsible for site inspections for scope of work and preparation of final reports.
