I was required to prepare reports in the form of PowerPoints, spreadsheets, and work logs for clients and internal audits. As I was coordinating developers across many time zones this job kept me on my toes. I worked in tandem with the sales team to ensure proper budgeting and fund allocation for projects as well as assisting them in communicating development goals between clients and developers. I was accountable for project scope, outlines, delivery schedule, and budgeting.

Being a teaching assistant has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. Unlike most TA positions this involves a large amount of instruction. I taught hundreds of students over my tenure and worked meticulously to make sure each student received an excellent education under my tutelage. The purpose of this job was to take complex technical ideas and simplify them to the point where someone without a technical background, in this case executives and product owners, could understand its inner workings. During my time at the co-operators I pioneered several workshops and techniques to improve documentation workflow for the software engineers essentially teaching them to document as they developed instead of having to back track. To compliment this role I was also tasked with being a Scrum Master for projects that I already had heavy involvement with. As a Scrum Master I would oversee the agile development process from inception to completion, working in tandem with developers to ensure the timely completion of stories and proper communication to product owners.

Working up from package handler to a managerial position was quite a challenge. During my time at FedEx I would be in charge of managing 30-40 workers per shift, assigning them duties, following up in making sure quotas were made, and most importantly jumping in and working side-by-side with them when necessary.

It taught me the true meaning of hard work having worked long hours in extremely harsh environmental conditions.
