I began my career in brokerage. I spent a few years at Olde Discount Corp in the mid-late 90's. It was a great time to be a broker. I built a fixed income book, specifically in the munis and added stocks and managed products later. I was recruited by William R. Hough & Co where I became a principal in municipal and general securities. WRH was later acquired by RBC Dain-Rauscher, but after I had relocated from Florida to the Northeast and gotten started with Merrill Lynch.I worked in a few capacities for Merrill Lynch, but most importantly in early stage and developmental technology initiative management. Vetting deals and working with the I-bankers and venture cap - both internal and otherwise - made it clear to me where I needed to direct my efforts.I left Merrill in 2001 and joined Freedom Systems, a leading regional provider of products and services in the digital video surveillance space. I worked in several capacities at Freedom before taking the reins of a subsidiary. I travelled the US extensively, interviewing a majority of the leaders from the industry and sharpening my expertise.Midyear 2003, I founded Visual Management Systems - "VMS". The company was initially bootstrapped and then funded privately through angels (real ones!!!) before engaging Brookshire Securities Corporation at the end of 2006. We completed an offering in July 2007 took the company across the US. After selling the business, I went back into the corporate world to make my third go at it.I joined MGM Resorts International at the Borgata where I was surveillance technology manager. I helped Borgata acquire and integrate a modern surveillance package and worked with the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement to gain approval for new technologies and processes to improve gaming operators' controls and open them up to newer technologies. I helped vet out and deploy biometric technologies as well as controls used for anti-money laundering investigations. I engaged in regional work for MGMRI corporate surveillance at several casinos/resorts outside of the Vegas mainstream until I was offered an opportunity with North American Video.NAV has afforded me the opportunity to be licensed all across the country, get certified in many technology platforms and to manage systems integration projects at gaming venues all over the United States.
