My forte has been integrating the knowledge of a trained research and analysis professional with the skills of a software designer and writer. My particular field is power systems analysis, which encompasses energy resource planning, power network modelling, and energy storage systems. Writing reports that are clear, to the point, and present information in clear, helpful graphics is not a minor task, but the capstone to any project, whether a software piece that needs a good manual or a system analysis that needs a client presentation.In parallel with my engineering work, I have invested a great deal of time in education: developing a charter school emphasizing hands-on learning, volunteering to teach science in the classroom, and coaching robotics teams. I feel it is important for young people to keep their natural curiosity about science concepts and develop their skills in an environment that promotes creative design and an appreciation for the fun in engineering.My advising position with Pixel Gravity combines my interests in software and education.
