Duties include managing contracts and RFP’s; developing and executing a territory marketing plan; and directly engaging policymakers, their staffs and third parties to educate them on SAS’ business model and value proposition. I also manage outside legal and government affairs counsel and coordinate special events.

Responsible for the daily operations of the Florida Department of Children and Families, which employs more than 12,000 employees and serves nearly 20,000 children in foster care with an annual budget of $2.7 billion. Advised the Department’s Secretary on strategic planning, legislative affairs, crisis management and communication as well as policy for adult and child welfare, substance abuse and mental health, and economic self-sufficiency. Managed highly confidential information and served as a liaison between the Department Secretary and the Executive Office of the Governor, other government agencies and community stakeholders. Managed complex situations while balancing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

This senior management position oversaw all state operations and communications efforts for US Senator George LeMieux. Regularly provided strategic counsel and briefings to the Senator and represented him in a variety of settings including meetings with CEOs, lobbyists and constituents. Responsible for development and management of a strategic communications plan to maximize constituent outreach and coalition building within the community. Oversaw the development and implementation of a comprehensive traditional and new media plan to increase awareness of the Senate office and provide information to constituents.
