Postdoctoral Fellow
I am currently working on understanding the contribution of stromal cells to health and disease, particularly cancer. I have identified a novel population of stromal cells that regulate dendritic cell homeostasis in the lymphoid tissues. In addition, I am also trying to understand the role of immune inhibitory receptors in dampening the host response to tumors with the ultimate goal of enhancing anti-tumor immunity. I also worked on a project to understand the development of innate B cells under inflammatory conditions.

Pursued my PhD research in the field of Immunology. I've tried to elucidate the mechanism by which CD8+T cells undergo apoptosis during the contraction of an immune response to viral infections. I also worked to understand the mechanism by which CD8+T cells differentiate during an immune response to form memory populations which protect us against secondary infections. These studies will eventually help us to understand how memory CD8+T cells survive and differentiate and thus help us to make better vaccines.
