Within the Indigeneity component, I further challenged myself to bring forth a truly meaningful engagement experience for the community. Meeting with Kingston Native Centre and Language Nest prompted the pioneering of TEDx’s first Indigenous Art Gallery. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, bringing about discussions for future collaborations between local organizations and the cohort of over ten vendors and artists, providing a mutual platform for community education and growth through authentic, lived experiences. As a Mine Projects & Costing Intern, I developed and distributed multiple materials for the Albian Oil Sands teams. I coordinated the Monthly Accountability, KPI, and Fuel reports; maintained the $140M Albian Mine Production CAPEX budget through coordination with Mine stakeholders; executed mine design and reconciliation projects through Vulcan CAD design and Excel; and arranged Authorizations for Expenditures (AFEs) with the Maintenance, Technical, and Operations teams.

As the Director of Services, I hired and developed training for the management teams and staff of 5 student-run businesses (a pub, a café, a custom clothing company, a satirical newspaper, and a STEM education program). I oversaw the strategic short and long-term planning for the post-COVID-19 operations; facilitated relationships between services’ stakeholders; and assisted with the coordination of event logistics, operational activities, and conflict resolution.

As a Mining Summer Research Student, I analyzed the enrollment trends, career trajectories, and industry retention of female, male, and other gender-identifying alumni from the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining at Queen's. The key takeaways and alumni feedback were presented to the Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR), The Queen's Mining department, and Queen’s Women in Engineering.
