Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Debating and Leadership.I was wondering whether these pieces of the jigsaw puzzle could array into a logical illustration. The opportunities that have come so far have started arranging them in place.It started with my decision to pursue Actuarial Science after graduating from school. I have successfully completed the Core Technical papers-CT1, CT3, CT5, CT7 and CT8. I did my graduation in the field of Economics where I thoroughly enjoyed facing the convolutions of Economics, Statistics and Mathematics. My term paper on BREXIT in the final year of college in 2017 introduced me to the field of Data Analytics. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL on MS Access,R and SAS. I am currently learning VBA and Data Visualization tools like Tableau. It thrills me to find its applications in the field of Actuarial Science, thus complementing my knowledge domain. I have extensively participated in debates during my school and college years. Beyond the awards and certificates that I have been able to garner, debating has allowed me to construct my thoughts logically. It has given me an opportunity to think critically and cultivate my persuasion skills. My experiences heading the student council of the Calcutta Boys’ School as the Vice President and then the President taught me how important it is to have organisational objectives transcend individual ones. Those two years made me realise the importance of team work, motivating and encouraging team members to arrive at a common goal. Apart from academics, I enjoy reading. The all-time favourites include The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami.
