Voice Movement Therapy is an Expressive Arts Therapy that encourages growth and healing through song and movement.Finding an authentic voice that comes from the truth of who you are can be challenging, but with guidance using the process of Voice Movement Therapy you have the time to explore and discover new aspects of who you are and the voice that you have can be expressed.Sophie Martin is an Actor, Singer and Voice Artist and has just completed her training as a Voice Movement Therapist.Sophie works with Asylum Seekers and with Stepping Stones in Life Therapy. She also works with the Australian Children's Music Foundation traveling to some of the remote communities of the Northern Territory. She has taught Voice and Movement at the University of Wollongong, NSW Nirimba TAFE, and the University of Southern Queensland, as well as running numerous workshops all over Australia. Her work centres on finding emotional connections and resonance as well as creating flexibility and colour within the voice.Sophie regularly runs workshops in Sydney and Brisbane and individual intensives.
