Istanbul, Turkey

- Headed a multi-disciplinary team spread over 4 international offices.- Technical management and analysis of more than 40 exploration and production license blocks in three countries, both operated and non-operated, spread across eight basins. Various new venture and corporate acquisition evaluations.- Direct reporting to the President.- Achievements: o Implemented corporate-wide prospect portfolio management. o Continued and extended brown field re-development of the fractured carbonate / hydrothermal dolomite play (see section Incremental Petroleum). Drilled 16 of the infill wells, confirming initially forecasted production rates. o Drilled 11 discovery wells out of 14 exploration and appraisal wells.

- Established and lead a team of skilled geologists, geophysicists, petroleum engineers and support staff, to build up and grow the companies' production, reserves, and asset portfolio. Projects ranged from exploration through mature field re-development to new venture evaluations.- Direct reporting to the CEO and/or Board.- Achievements: o First reserves certification of a 40 year old oilfield. Increased certified company reserves by 40% within 2 years. o Increased production by 65% through re-development. o Established brown field re-development plan of a fractured carbonate / hydrothermal dolomite play with infill wells, sidetracks, additional water disposal well, and numerous workovers. Incremental's successor, TransAtlantic Petroleum, drilled 16 of the infill wells until Oct. 2010, confirming initially forecasted production rates. An extensive geological reservoir characterization utilizing a broad spectrum of data and analyses such as 3D seismic, well logs incl. borehole image logs, cores, field work, and production history forms the basis for the field development plan. o Drilled 9 discovery wells out of 10 exploration and appraisal wells. o Brought an accumulation of small fields from exploration to production stage. o Balanced the geographical portfolio risk through successful farm-ins after evaluating numerous assets world-wide. o As head of IT (in parallel with subsurface manager role), converted the company-wide run-down and failure-prone IT system within 4 months into a robust and secure structure compliant to international standards, utilizing a tight budget.Incremental Petroleum was taken over by TransAtlantic Petroleum in April 2009.

- Reservoir characterization and exploitation of several mature oil fields in Germany with the help of in-fill drilling and sidetracking. Geological well planning, wellsite surveillance and reporting.- Fracture characterization and sequence stratigraphy of GDF's largest gas field in cooperation with various consultancies. Subsequent integration into dual-porosity geocellular model and upscaling to dynamic model for reservoir simulation purposes, in collaboration with ExxonMobil, in the course of the unitization of the tight gas field. Presentation to corporate board members and regulating authorities.- Assigned as geological consultant to eight non-operated assets in Ecuador and Qatar, on behalf of OMV of Austria.

Baker Atlas GEOSciences- Structural and sedimentological reservoir model generation in the context of working within a multi-disciplinary team, integrating borehole image logs, conventional logs, core analyses, and seismic interpretations.- Statistical analysis of geological data, line-balancing of structural cross-sections and involvement in fracture network modeling.- Project Management: Responsibility for planning, budgeting and timely execution of projects on behalf of international customers. Preparation and negotiation of proposals, critical path analysis and man-power requirements, technical advise during execution, and key contact for customer.- Team Leader for various geological studies.- Development of new methodologies to improve workflows and turnaround times.- Shell Oman's preferred structural image log interpreter for South Oman Salt Basin from end of 1999 until the end of the assignment with Baker Atlas.Originally Western Atlas, which was taken over by Baker Hughes shortly after I joined.
