Great ideas come from a combination of creativity, rationality and problem-solving skills.I used to write compelling stories to appeal to customers feelings, ideas and sense of humor. Now I analyze data and develop marketing strategies to increase revenue, define pricing strategies and measure brand awareness. However, there is rationality when creating a commercial: consumer perspective + brand voice = engaging message. Most importantly, everything has to make sense in 30 seconds or less. By transforming numbers into strong messages, I used the same analytics mind that I use to evaluate a dataset. I used to create value for clients with words. Now do the same with numbers.I was born and raised in Brazil. After graduating in Marketing and Advertising among the top 5 of my class, I had the amazing opportunity of working in major advertising agencies as a copywriter. My experience working with more than 50 brands in different industries and in teams involving creative, planning, media and accounting departments made me understand how important marketing strategy and analytics are for creating a strong brand image. I realized that great ideas don’t come from generating a bunch of them and hoping something sticks. They come from a combination of all the numbers, 4P’s and departments to generate that one clear message, those few words that are going to increase revenue, better brand awareness or successfully launch a new product. At that point, I didn’t’ want to just write ads, I wanted to be a part of the whole process. And that’s when I decided to pursue an M.S. in Marketing Analytics at USC. Currently, I’m looking for a job in tech, entertainment or a CPG company in brand or product management.
