This is a paraprofessional positioninvolving responsibility for learning paraprofessional applications of professional libraryservices. The incumbent initially works under direct supervision of professionallibrarians, but eventually acquires latitude to operate independently within prescribedresponsibilities under professional guidance. Supervision is exercised over LibraryAides, Library Clerks, and other personnel. Does related work as required.

My internship focused in on collection development process. Specifically, I presented actual scanning samples and offered advisement on scanning equipment used in the systematic digitalization of the library’s historical collection materials.

I actively assisted the Consumer Directed Program (a Medicaid fraud prevention program) with all aspects of the Staff Monitor Program and Database System. Along with the addition of new consumers, maintenance within the database system, I also handled final report creation and delivery. This involved the extensive use and creation of MS Excel and MS Word documentation software and use of the File-Maker Database system.

At the time of hire, there was not an available database nor other software solution to the bank's specific need. I developed a semi-automated employee production tracking system. This involved the creation of forms and related maintenance. Final report creation and delivery to management along with other computerized projects involved the use of MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word.
