The grant was sector based servicing companies that were polymer and chemical, metal fabrication, and wood manufacturers. Branded "UpSkill". The success of the program was well received given the broker training sales model and the use of cost efficient qualified subject matter experts and training providers with region-wide collaboration to share the effects about UpSkill. Highlights of the position included collaborative business, retention and expansion calls with JobsOhio economic development project managers.Manufacturing Extension Partnership account executives as well as SBA wood specialist sales calls were part of the outreach process. Executing employer and vendor contracts, creating Scopes of Work, participant follow up and utilizing the DOL database were a part of the duties of this one person management team.
