I am the founder and managing partner of renu ventures, a growth capital venture fund targeting the convergence of transportation and energy. As the former CEO of Mercedes-Benz Energy, I have been involved on the cutting edge of the mobility and energy transformation, supporting the transition to e-mobility, including energy storage. Within Mercedes-Benz Energy hang the responsibility for infrastructure needs around charging for Mercedes-Benz in conjunction with the launch of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, the development and manufacturing of stationary storage systems for the utility, commercial and residential sectors, as well as the concepts and processes around 2nd use of batteries after their first used in electric vehicles. Prior, I was the CEO of the Americas for Sonnen, one of the global leading manufacturers of residential energy storage solutions. I also own a solar installation business in Los Angeles and in the Caribbean. I have been in the international trade industry for over 19 years and in the renewable energy industry for over 12 years. Originally from Germany, I live in Los Angeles for now over 20 years with my family.
