Areas of focus include air pollution, marine pollution, circular economy, blue economy, natural capital, climate change, urban, biodiversity, chemical and waste, and Transboundary haze pollution. - Provide strategic guidance and policy planning for ASEAN initiatives, projects and programmes on environmental cooperation and management including the private sector, industries, trade, and banking and finance. - Strengthen partnership and cooperation with partners and key players in addressing environmental issues in the region, including the regional resource mobilisation efforts. - Manage the operational activities of the division-sustainable development directorate; and provide guidance/support to ASEAN entities (Interim ACC THPC, ACB, AIGE, ACCC, ACEC)

-Provide consultant services in relation to environmental assessment, planning and management in Cambodia, the Mekong Region, and Southeast Asia. - Provide capacity building to various stakeholders (private sector, government agencies, local communities, and CSOs) in environmental assessment, planning and management, and- develop knowledge products and environmental management information system.

Promotion resulted in an increase of responsibilities for the Mekong Partnership for the Environment/Pact.

Bangkok Metropolitan Area, Thailand

The project based in Bangkok, working with partners for Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. 1. Established and led the Regional Technical Working Team for Environmental Impact Assessment – Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.2. Coordinated and led the development of regional guidelines for effective public participation in environmental impact assessment in the Mekong Region and other countries (esp Cambodia, and Myanmar).3. Managed the project design and implementation for all activities related to strengthening regional platforms, policy development, and engagement with policy stakeholders including private sector and Government groups.4. In charge of strengthening and promoting “best practices” of environment and social safeguards through developing, implementing, and promoting corporate social responsibility programs.5. Served as Pact liaison to partners, government representatives, and other project stakeholders. Coordinated all aspects of project planning, monitoring, and reporting with appropriate departments.

It is the Core Environment Program of Greater Mekong Sub-Region/Asian Development Bank, based in Bangkok, partners in Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and VietnamResponsible for coordinating and supporting activities related to the improvement of environmental planning systems, methods, and safeguards. Applied planning tools such as EIA and SEA, spatial multicriteria analysis, and extended economic analysis, to develop strategies and plans for selected sectors and economic corridors.-Highlights:1. Worked directly with financial department to prepare activity budgets, monitor and report financial disbursement, and assess and update figures to keep financial status current.2. Designed and implemented various reporting and assessment measures to track project progress. Communicated with government and non-government agencies regarding outcome of implemented policies and to collect data and information to support activities.3. Responsible for the development of an information portal and knowledge hub for social and environmental safeguards. 4. Oversaw staff training and development as well as coordinated field work, methodologies, and mobilization of a team of national and international consultants.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Under direct supervision of the Royal Haskoning, Netherlands worked for the Mekong River Commission (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam)Highlights:1. Identified the environmental and ecological benefits and costs of floods and quantified in economic terms. Also, prepared the environmental aspects of, “Best Practice Guidelines to Assess the Socioeconomic, and Other Benefits of Flooding” as well as, “Best Practice Guidelines to Assess the Socioeconomic, and Other Costs of Flooding.2. Developed “Best Practice Guidelines to Assess and Manage the Environmental Impacts of Structural Flood Mitigation Works and Floodplain Infrastructure” to allow national agencies to identify and assess the likely environmental and ecological impacts of structural works at the planning stage and means of managing these impacts.
