About Vonnie Estes

Driven by a passion for agriculture, technology, and sustainability, I help companies navigate, develop, and commercialize innovative solutions. As VP of Innovation at the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), I bring technology to the produce supply chain, collaborating with tech providers and industry leaders to solve critical challenges. I produce the "Fresh Takes on Tech" podcast and manage the Fresh Field Catalyst Accelerator - an accelerator to bring new tech into the produce industry. I sit on the numerous AgTech advisory and board of directors. I hold a BS in Horticulture from New Mexico State University and an MS in Plant Pathology from UC Davis. In 2017, I received the Rosalind Franklin Award for Leadership in Industrial Biotechnology from the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, honoring my contributions to the field.Areas of Expertise: Business development, partnership strategy, board leadership, commercialization in gene editing, plant genetics, alternative proteins, specialty crops, packaging alternatives.
