Ich bin seit über 13 Jahren ein Innovator, Unternehmer und Berater im Bereich der Smart-City-Strategien und -Technologien. Dabei lege ich Wert auf eine menschenzentrierte, nachhaltige und inklusive digitale Transformation.Seit Februar 2021 leite ich das Daten-Kompetenzzentrum für Städte und Regionen DKSR in Berlin, das sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, Städten und kommunalen Unternehmen eine Open-Source-Dateninfrastruktur und professionelle Datendienste anzubieten. Zuvor war ich als Leiter des Kompetenzteams "Urban Governance Innovation" am Fraunhofer IAO tätig, wo ich mich auf Innovationsmanagement für Smart Cities und auf urbane Daten-Governance spezialisiert habe. Im Rahmen der Fraunhofer "Morgenstadt Initiative" war ich verantwortlich für eine Innovationspartnerschaft zwischen 35 europäischen Städten, 42 privaten Unternehmen und 12 Forschungseinrichtungen, die urbane Innovationen vorangetrieben und die Umsetzung von nachhaltigen und vernetzten Lösungen für bessere Städte ermöglicht haben. Daraus sind Innovationsprojekte mit einem Gesamtvolumen von über 500 Millionen Euro entstanden. Neben der Gründung von DKSR war ich Mitgründer und CIO von BABLE. In den letzten 13 Jahren habe ich Städte wie Wien, Stockholm, Manchester, Eindhoven, Belfast, Zagreb, Porto, Köln, Berlin, Prag, Dublin, München sowie Landkreise und kleinere Kommunen bei der digitalen Transformation beraten.
