K.Vorathat graduated from Chulalongkorn University with Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School, The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Tesco Lotus, Vorathat has over 8 years of experiences in the fields of Management Consulting and Banking. He worked for the Boston Consulting Group on various projects including Strategy, Implementation, Process improvement projects. Clients ranged from Banks, Multinational companies, Government organizations, within Thailand as well as Southeast Asia. Then, he worked as Vice President at Bangkok Bank PLC. His scopes of work included improving end-to-end processes in branches, developing branch retail network strategy and identifying areas for new branches and ATMs. Vorathat has been with Tesco Lotus for over 6 years. He initially joined the company as Senior Programme Manager to lead Fresh Food Development team. He successfully led various projects, including Fresh Food Quality, new ordering system launch for Fresh Food, Right Stock Right Place routines, as well as Known loss saving projects. Vorathat then moved to lead 98% Availability Programme in Aug 2015, prior to his recent roles leading Supply Chain function of Packaged Food, then Packaged Non-Food areas. Having worked on many end-to-end projects, he has developed his knowledge and understanding of retail business from Ranging through to DC and store processes. Working in Availability Programme and Supply Chain roles has also given him the opportunities to work closely with senior management of Tesco Lotus, Tesco UK as well as various suppliers.
