MSc. Graduation project. For SITA I was looking into the possibility of designing a baggage handling service - home pick-up to destination delivery - with a strong passenger perspective. With an iterative approach, I focused on how the passengers' group would like to interact with this kind of service. And from SITA point of view what their role could be to maintain their leaders position as Information and IT specialist in aviation.

Extracurricular activity. Coaching second-year business management (bachelor) students for the course Management and Technology. Their assignment was to evaluate business opportunities for Philips Lighting.

Summer job. Supervising the process and the temporary employees. As supervisor I was the intermediate between Iddink and the employment agency Randstad. Iddink distributes schoolbooks for primary schools in the Netherlands. In the summer months, all books are collected, processed, and distributed to it new owner.

Utrecht

BEng. Graduation project. At Seats2meet, a flexwork place situated all over the world, visitors pay with Social Capital (their professional knowledge). Every location is a community where they try to connect the entrepreneurs. Event though, entrepreneur know networking is a valuable part of their work, it is often scary to start a conversation with somebody you do not know at all. My graduation project focussed on the ice-breaking element. I designed an artefact that represented the Social Capital on every location, acted as an eye-catcher (first encounter with Seats2meet Connect), and helped visites to make contact. Only than Seats2Meet Connect will become a valuable device for entrepreneurs to use. During this project, I implemented generative Co-Design methods in all the stages of the project; research and need finding, idea generation and validation concepts and prototypes.

Minor activities. The focus of the minor lay on need finding of the target group, identifying the core problem, developing a concept, and communicate this to the company. This by using different creative generative techniques to create products and services that emphasise with the users.Collaborating companies: Afdeling Buitengewone Zaken (Rotterdam), Jimmy’s (Groningen), Arriva Nederland, Cirkelstad Utrecht, Dutch Design Week, and Muzus (Delft).

Shanghai City, China

Full-time internship in the Engineering department. Product design, preparing the design for production in the factory and collaborate with the factories in China. During this period I had to design a new line of fitness products for the elderly and collaborate with the Chinese factories to produce.

The Netherlands

Lyceo is a company that provides 1-, 2-, or 5-day courses for highschool students in their final year. This is an extra moment of help, besides the normal school program. It is seen as a refreshment moment to boost confident or last-minute preparation for the final exams. My task was to coordinate the days the courses at the locations.

Wijchen

Full-time internship in the Engineering department. Product design and preparing for production in the factory. I developed a working space for the primary schools, the Stexflex. This product was showed on the National Education Fair (NOT) of 2013 in Utrecht.

Duiven

Part-time internship. As a student of the Art Academy of Arnhem and Zwolle (ArtEZ) I taught children (age 14-18 year) in Art, Culture and Art history.
