User Experience (UX) Research, UX/CX Design, Service Design, Design Thinking, business analyst, human-centered design…. What’s a name? I prefer to see myself as a creative problem definer and solver who delivers impact through strategy, analyse, and design. Why definer? Because the most challenging part of the design process is to figure out what is needed; for the business, the people, stakeholders, (IT-)systems to work smoothly together in the value chain. Why solver? Because I love to see the how we can transform insights into positive outcomes. In recent years, I have become a design leader with a strong foundation in researching and designing for user and business needs. I like to structure my work around the Design Thinking methodology, using my skills in Service and UX Design, Business Analysis, Creative Facilitation, Agile Development, Organizational Change Management to align people, processes, data and IT systems. By asking the right questions, I dive into the pain points and bottlenecks and get very excited when we start developing an improvement; either a product or a process change. As an MSc. Interaction Designer from the TU Delft, this study was an excellent complement to my bachelor's Industrial Product Engineering. This made me a theoretical expert and practitioner of the Design Thinking. Through my professional career in more technology-driven organisations I experienced first hand how we can mature the mindset of human-centricity through backwards-design.

At Seats2meet, a flexwork place situated all over the world, visitors pay with Social Capital (their professional knowledge). Every location is a community where they try to connect the entrepreneurs. Event though, entrepreneur know networking is a valuable part of their work, it is often scary to start a conversation with somebody you do not know at all. My graduation project focussed on the ice-breaking element. I designed an artefact that represented the Social Capital on every location, acted as an eye-catcher (first encounter with Seats2meet Connect), and helped visites to make contact. Only than Seats2Meet Connect will become a valuable device for entrepreneurs to use.
