William Resto’s family values, integrity, hard work ethic and candid character has equipped him for many opportunities to serve the businesses and residents of his community. Resto currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Wilmington Police Athlete League (P.A.L.) and the Nuestra Raices of Delaware: this organization coordinates the annual Wilmington Hispanic Festival and the Miss Hispanic Delaware Pageant. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Resto was a Delaware state employee and shop-steward for Local 640. He is currently the founder and owner of A Bail Bond by Resto & Company and co-founder of the Livingston Resto Project (LRP): a non-profit organization that advocates for the homeless in Delaware. He is a leader at Faith City Family Church: Pastor Steve Hare and the proud sponsor of the 3-Time Champions “Aquila’s” of the Roberto Clemente Little League.Resto gives thanks to his parents, William and Carmen Resto: from Caguas and Toa Alto, Puerto Rico, for instilling in him the importance of hard work, family and integrity. He now wants to use these same character traits to extend his service beyond his birth community because, as he says, “To Do Nothing Is No Longer An Option”. Resto cares about strengthening families because strong families will make and maintain the productivity, attractiveness and value of our communities. As a parent, a 20-year servant leader for the Children’s Ministry at Faith City Church and as a Board Member of the Wilmington Police Athlete League (P.A.L.), Resto knows firsthand that by improving Public Safety, addressing the Opioid Epidemic and legislating solutions for Mental Health Awareness in our Schools will collectively have a major impact on the quality of our children lives, consequently families and ultimately the community that he has lived in for over 18 years: the 5th District of Delaware.
