My main responsibilities is supporting the transportation market which includes automotive powertrain and electronics. Through the years I have created four new specifications for our Formed-In-Place-Gaskets for two major automotive OEMs.My work requires me to travel on average 30% of the time to serve as a technical sales support specialist all over North America with occasional work assignments abroad (Europe, Japan). First job after graduating and receiving my BS in Chemical Engineering.I took over as the main epoxy adhesives chemist and worked with a high volume electronics manufacturer. My project resulted in the first epoxy adhesives to be sold into this company for ThreeBond International which received a Special Projects Recognition in 2013. I also developed a dual-cure (UV and heat) encapsulating adhesive for the same customer.As I gained experience working within the adhesives and sealants industry, I began formulations for other types of chemistry such as anaerobic curing adhesives and silyl-terminated polyethers. By the end of 2013, I had also commercialized an anaerobic threadlocker and co-developed a high thixotropic elastomeric sealant for major Tier 1 suppliers.I began to work on some small customer support projects after gaining a broad knowledge of ThreeBond products. One of my first achievements that directly resulted in new sales is presenting our line of cyanoacrylate adhesives (super glue) into a fingerprint forensic supplier. I had to create a custom test method that was new to ThreeBond and present to the customer that our products can meet their needs.

A 4 month Co-op assignment through UC's International Co-op Program.I worked with the Activated Carbon and Adsorption Group to conduct research on particulates that can effectively reduce the emissions of NOx and CO2.I was able to reach an intermediate conversational level for Japanese as well as gained an extremely unique experience working abroad in a professional setting within the chemical industry.

A 6 month Co-op assignment through UC's Division of Profession Practice as required by the Chemical Engineering program.I worked in the Jergen's department and had three major projects:1. Conduct a research project on the reduction of malodor as a side effect of Erthrulose/DHA reaction in sunless tanning lotions (Natural Glow)2. Batch mixing and shelf-life study of various different types of whitening fillers (titanium dioxide, mica, boron nitride... etc.) to create an array of brown-shades for gel. Typically, sunless tanning lotions are a white tone which makes a color guide extremely desirable for consumers.3. Develop a way to estimate SPF values in sunscreen lotions based on loading percentage.
