Coordinate the California English Language Development Test (CELDT) for initial and annual assessment of English learners; plan, organize, and schedule assessment activities and training; train, assign and provide work direction to assessment personnel as assigned; provide information and assistance to assessment personnel regarding new or revised procedures; review and monitor the work of other employees involved in the CELDT testing.2. Establish, maintain and update assessment data; maintain the security and confidentiality of CELDT materials.3. Prepare materials for classroom and instructional use; administer, correct and record test results; maintain student profiles and other records of students as requested.4. Observe and control behavior of students inside or outside of classroom according to approved procedures; report progress regarding student performance and behavior to teacher; assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, friendly attitude and general guidance.5. Order, receive, inventory, store and distribute assessment materials; perform a variety of clerical duties such as preparing materials, scoring papers, recording grades; maintain a variety of logs, records, and files; maintain records of trainer attendance; assure the timely duplication and distribution of a variety of records, reports and other materials as directed; perform clerical work such as posting records, making arithmetic computations and securing information.6. Assure timely communication between office and district employees regarding CELDT assessment.7. Ensure the health and safety of students by following all health and safety rules; conduct general clean-up of work site.8. Translate a variety of written materials from English to a second language and from that language into English; interpret and facilitate communication between staff and non-English speaking students and parents.
