Owner – Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA); Contracts CM009 ($427 million) and CM019 ($783 million) Purpose - Tunnels and stations are being constructed to bring the LIRR from Queens into Grand Central TerminalWork Performed - Excavation and support of two caverns 60 foot wide by 65 foot tall by 1,200 foot long with combined drill and blast and roadheader excavation methods, 5 vertical shafts, 4 escalator declines, 23 cross passages, and 31,000 LF of 22 foot diameter TBM tunnel totaling over 240,000cy of excavation

Working on project teams at Judlau's South Ferry Subway Terminal Finishes and Systems for a year, and the Dragados / Judlau JV East Side Access Project, I became acquainted with the world of being a General Contractor.
