Colleagues describe them as "I mentored Joe during his winter 2021 co-op work term, and he displayed a genuine interest in understanding how and why our product is coded. He expressed a desire to expand his coding repertoire (e.g. creating APIs, database triggers, etc), was able to write the necessary code and tests. When assigned a ticket, he would research independently first before approaching any of the other developers to clarify he understood what he needed to complete. Reached out to myself and other developers to gain more understanding in areas that he felt he was lacking, or was curious how such technology operated. When having his code reviewed by other developers, he was quick to respond to suggestions. During our ticket grooming sessions and retrospectives, he expressed his opinions and asked relevant questions. Facilitated with the release qualification of our product to customers by performing integrations tests on several host systems, as well creating and updating these tests as issues were identified. He also investigated an anomolous recurring message being sent from our servers, and its elimination would end up saving AWN over $100k/year. Volunteered to help with our support rotation schedule, to field questions from our customer support teams." and "I had the pleasure of working with Joe during his internship at Arctic Wolf. He was a great asset to our endpoint agent team, and was able to quickly dive in and make substantial contributions.
