My responsibilities include providing pro bono consulting services to nonprofits and local organizations, analyzing operational data and organizational risks, and delivering strategic solutions to enhance community impact.

In this lab, I focus on addressing the challenge of right-censored covariate data in clinical trials related to Huntington's disease. The primary problem is when diagnosis times are incomplete (right-censored), which means that some individuals' diagnosis dates are unknown by the time the study concludes. This makes it difficult to assess the disease progression timeline fully because we do not have complete data on when symptoms are related to an official diagnosis. To overcome this, I am analyzing specific methods to estimate the missing diagnosis times and improve the accuracy of our models. By accurately modeling symptom progression and addressing incomplete information, we seek to better understand how Huntington's disease develops over time.In my role with the lab, my primary responsibility includes reviewing key literature on Huntington's disease progression models, including the Langbehn Model, CAG-Age-Product (CAP) Model, Prognostic Index (PIN) Model, and Multivariate Regression Survival (MRS) Model. I compare these models by analyzing their effectiveness in predicting the time of diagnosis and progression. My research contributes to refining how we address incomplete data in clinical research for all neurodegenerative diseases and improving the accuracy of predictions regarding Huntington's disease stages and symptom development.

In this lab, I seek to understand the causal relationship between neural changes associated with social, emotional, and cognitive development and various outcomes such as psychological well-being, academic motivation, online behavior, intergroup biases, and health-compromising behaviors like substance use. The lab’s research aims to unravel the intricate connections between brain function during decision-making, social interactions, and emotion regulation. In my role with the Project NeuroTeen, Project Photovoice, Project BIAS (Body Image and Attentional States), Digital Reminiscing Study, and Social Understanding, Peers, Excellence, and Resilience Study, I am primarily working with the Winston Center (affiliate laboratory) as part of the data task force (clinical research side). Specifically, my responsibilities include extracting social media and app usage data from the screenshots submitted by our adolescent participants during a two-week period, examining college students' feelings regarding their past Instagram posts through qualitative interviews, cleaning and quantifying data regarding how much time a participant visually attends to themselves vs. a research assistant in a Zoom meeting, administering behavioral task to adolescent participants, examining adolescents’ Internet usage through self-reported behaviors, utilizing Dedoose for photovoice data, analyzing how the development of neural network connectivity relates to peer influence, and reviewing repeated fMRI scans to understand the association between online behavior and brain development.

My responsibilities include maintaining control of the game while instructing youth participants on proper procedures and rules of basketball, soccer and flag football, setting up and cleaning up equipment at designated athletic games, supervising competition and spectators, and helping facilitate the overall positive experience of the players.

I am the founder of a nonprofit tutoring organization that has had 110+ tutors serve 200+ K-12 students across the world to give them an opportunity to expand their intellectual curiosities. My responsibilities included utilizing Python, SAS, and Tableau to visualize and analyze data on uninsured rates, primary care clinic locations, mortality rates, and racial demographics in Chicago’s community areas, exploring healthcare provider bias, stigmas, and other structural violence factors to help develop initiatives to improve health equity in Chicago, and collaborating with management to brainstorm and implement solutions for enhancing patient care and operational efficiency at the center.

My responsibilities included exploring and evaluating key aspects of startups to gain a comprehensive understanding of their potential for success, conducting in-depth analyses of product uniqueness and competitive strategies within various startup ecosystems, effectively cleaning and visualizing data with tools like Excel and Tableau for more accurate analysis, and providing recommendations for potential investment opportunities based on thorough due diligence and analysis.

My responsibilities included scanning medical and vaccine records, faxing/mailing medical documents, indexing electronic medical records through Allscripts (a specialty EHR software), ensuring missing medical records can be identified easily, delivering documents to nurses and doctors, and aiding in other administrative tasks.

My responsibilities included transporting care kits and other medical documents to various destinations, providing lobby hospitality, and managing patient records in the Women's Pavilion.

My responsibilities included creating and managing a client's database for a CRM system, advertising, creating flyers, organizing client files, recording transactions in QuickBooks, drafting client emails and letters, designing clients' annual reminders, accounting basics, and researching new opportunities for the company. Other responsibilities include assisting the certified public accountant with tasks regarding social media and firm decisions.Learning objectives revolve around business management, customer relations, finance, and accounting basics. Business management objectives include effective marketing, an efficient client management system, conducting beneficial research to expand the firm's mission, and identifying potential growth areas. Customer relations objectives include developing communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Finance and accounting objectives include learning about accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Financial Cents and effectively maintaining clients' transactions.

During this program, I helped play an integral role in delivering first-class health care to the patients at the medical center. Each summer, the High School Volunteer Program runs for eight weeks. In this program, I worked in the nursing unit, where my responsibilities included answering patient light calls, straightening beds and rooms as requested, transporting patients with no IV or O2, utilizing the Vocera Care Rounding tool to document rounds, fulfilling meal requests, etc. I also worked in lobby hospitality, where my responsibilities included escorting patients/families to various destinations in the hospital, performing COVID screening, assisting patients in signing up for My UNC Chart, and greeting visitors as they entered the lobby.

I was part of a program that consisted of lab simulations, virtual tours, speakers, a deep dive into Alzheimer’s disease, and discussions with biotechnology and invention professionals. My responsibilities included researching the basis of Alzheimer's disease and collaborating with a team to create an invention and app designed to address challenges faced by patients with Lewy Body Dementia.
