Senior Engineer
Current• Lead thermal design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of compute devices (including laptops, smartphones, tablets, handheld gaming consoles, mini-PCs, and Industrial PCs) that leverage the cooling potential of the proprietary AirJet technology developed by Frore Systems• Define and enforce design guidelines by understanding thermal, mechanical, acoustic, electrical, and reliability requirements and drive product development to meet definitions• Perform initial feasibility analysis using 1D thermal models leveraging conduction, convection, and radiation principles• Use Icepak simulations to design thermal solutions by incorporating various thermal elements including vapor chambers, heat sinks, heat pipes, thermal pads, graphite sheets, and aerogels • Define testing protocols, DOEs, and develop test rigs to characterize existing thermal solutions and validate Frore thermal solution efficacy• Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) development through hands-on experimentation and rapid prototyping. PoCs developed include: Laptops-Apple MacBook Air | Samsung Laptop; Tablets-AirJets in iPad Pro; Smartphones-AirJet in Xiaomi 14; SSD Accessory-AirJets with M.2 Drive• Lead product development from the PoC stage to commercial product by taking it through the relevant EVT, DVT, and MP stages: Industrial PC commercial product Acura Roughneck: Industrial Mini PC • Coordinate communication and lead cross-functional teams on a global scale to customize and optimize thermal solution implementation with Frore and customer product design teams
