Florida Native, University of Florida Alumna, enjoying life in Germany.Research topics that fascinate me include investigating molecular mechanisms regulating developmental growth and hormone signaling, as well as trade-offs that confer biotic and abiotic resistance in both model species and globally critical crops. Past, present, and intended future aims in my work rely on the utilization of gene modification and editing, as well as reverse genetics technologies, to investigate and genotype mutations with significant potential towards crop improvement.Additional interests include long-distance running, swimming, lacrosse, entomology, and scientific illustration.
