I am the technology geek in a manager's suit. Like to work with people and for the people, hate useless work. I am skilled in telecommunication, geospatial, and software development technologies; I also know how to do the business and manage the company.I started working for Hnit-Baltic as a software developer in 1998 and took all carrier steps from map digitization operator to the head of the department. From 2001 I took over the management of Cellular Expert tool development. In 2013 we spun-off Cellular Expert as a separate company. More than 170 clients from 49 countries are Cellular Expert customers; I did onsite implementations and training for many of them.I am an expert in wireless communications (even have a valid certificate ;) ), particularly in Public Safety/Security and defense areas. Also skilled in mapping and geospatial technology. My daily work also includes the management of software development; I believe in Agile and Lean ways of working, familiar with CMM and RUP frameworks. I am a believer in design before build concept and a big fan of Grady Booch works.I have two master's degrees: MSc from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Executive MBA from Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. I keep good relations with both institutions.I am also a proud member of the IEEE and have a senior member status there.
