Project manager and Project Engineer at Vrana engineering Inc.

Providing logistic management for the Dry-dock and Travel lift repair projects involving Commissioning Complete rewiring projects, Diesel propulsion replacement, Drive line repair works and steering systems yard repairs. I managed the shipyards Electrical and Mechanical shops and was responsible for HR requirements. I managed projects and made the critical logistical decisions to allow for successful project out comes. I’m very happy to have regularly been part of making the shipyards client’s impossible schedules possible at the Rybovich shipyard.

Construction and Management of all vessel manning, maintenance and operation of M/Y ALLEGRO 183’, M/Y RONIN 192’, M/Y SEA RACER 156’ and M/Y ROMPEMAR 1 88’ and 2 90’. Direct responsibilities were Construction Spec books, HR hiring crew, engineering surveys for purchases or sales and all refits of all yachts. As well I was directly responsible for setting up and operating a corporate HR dept for hiring up to 36 crew for all vessels and two mansions. Also I oversaw all financial requirements for annual budgets, voyage operational budgets and all refit budgets. I was responsible for estimating refit line item project costs and time lines before yard quotations for our corporate internal estimation budgets. I was responsible for review and execution of all contracts relating to the vessels.

Construction Engineer and Port Engineer for the M/Y GALLANT LADY fleet. Responsibilities were construction engineer and refit project manager. I was involved in successfully constructing, and refitting 13 different yachts over the 10 yrs, from Hull #631 to #651 Feadships at the “De Vries” Shipyard to 72 ft Rybovichs sport fishing yachts. We did this always with an eye on a central controlled budget and oversight of fleet management. During this time I was trained in management skill classes, HR classes for management skills and safe guarding the corporate good legal standing. My main position at South East Toyota was assisting the corporate construction manager and as a port/refit engineer. I spent a decade in shipyards doing construction oversight, managing annual haul outs and refits of all the corporate yachts. I was involved in constant planning for spec books of new construction, annual budgets and refit/yard budgets with owner’s input into each. It was my true pleasure to have worked for Mr. Jim Moran and I was truly taught yachting ownership big picture view from Mr. Moran and his Fleet Captain Joe Moore. My engineering skills were broadened to include interior construction detail, Communication requirements of a project manager, and positive motivational management abilities at South East Toyota.
