Technically, I'm a back-end engineer. However, having primarily worked on internal tools, I've been able to follow a product through its entire lifecycle, working on infrastructure, the CI, the back-end, and the front-end client for our users.I've always found it fascinating that problem-solving is at the core of all of this. I love understanding how things work, why they are the way they are, and seeing how everything fits in the big picture.Meaningful workI love working closely with our customers, understanding their pain points, and bringing a smile to their faces. Internal tools have been an excellent fit for me because your users are your colleagues. Working hard and doing ungrateful work is easy when you know you will be making someone’s life better.Happiness is the key to doing great work. I love doing my part in helping bring the best out of people, whether it is by enhancing the atmosphere, helping and supporting, teaching, or learning together.Meaningful relationshipsGrowing up in Serbia, I funded my education with scholarships and eventually arrived in Italy to do my Masters at Politecnico di Milano. There, I had the chance to attend the Alta Scuola Politecnica excellence program, where I could work with some of the most brilliant minds from my generation.Since then, I’ve strived to be continuously surrounded by outstanding people. To work with them, to learn from them. And to hang out with them. I consider these people to be one the greatest treasures in my life, and if you are one of them, know that I love you very much.
