My name is Vrutiben Patel and I am currently seeking a part-time or full-time position in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. The skills I would be applying in this industry are gained from the Chemical Laboratory Technician Program at Durham College where I have graduated in April 2017.Along with work and volunteer experience, there are skills I have obtained through the program I am pursuing. As a chemical laboratory student at Durham College, I have been able to learn and improve multiple laboratory practical skills such as calibration, maintenance, and performance of equipment and instruments. Apart from the practical skills, I have also gained extensive knowledge on scientific and research studies, multiple techniques that may be applied to chemical testing. These skills can be an asset to increase efficiency of testing and productivity. In my previous work experiences as a cashier from Family Mart Plus, and a poll revision assistant at Elections Canada, I have developed skills such as communication, team work, organization and customer service that can contribute to the organization at an excellent value. Through my volunteer experience in a production play of The Outsiders at Lester B. Pearson C.I., I have acquired skills such as managerial duties and organizational ability. In all these experiences, I have learned to manage my time wisely, become a quick learner, attentive to detail and working with others. All these skills have been improved and added to my skill set and knowledge in which I am certain I will be an asset to your organization.
