I am currently employed as Advanced Computer Scientist (Autonomy) in Artificial Intelligence Center (AIC) at SRI International, Menlo Park, CA. I completed my PhD under the guidance of Dr. Dario Pompili from Electrical and Computer Engineering department of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. My PhD thesis is on real-time autonomic decision making under uncertain environments for UAV-based search-and-rescue missions. My research interests include applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), with a special focus on Deep Learning (DL), Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning (MADRL), multi-modal time series modeling, generative modeling, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related AI domains.I have a strong understanding of fundamentals in machine learning/artificial intelligence, data structures and algorithms, statistics, operating systems, control theory, computer architecture, networking protocols and object-oriented methodologies. In particular, within the domain of machine learning/artificial intelligence, I have expertise in Deep Reinforcement Learning, Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP), Deep Learning (Convolutional and Long Short Term Memory Neural Networks, Generative Adversarial Networks), Hidden Markov Models, Topic Models, Bayesian Networks and Methods and traditional machine learning techniques such as SVMs, Random Forests, etc. I am very passionate about research and would strongly like to pursue a career in academic/industrial research. My research interests are in the domain of "Real-time Autonomic Decision Making in Cyber Physical Systems" (my current PhD thesis topic), "Applied Artificial Intelligence", "Real-time Distributed Machine Learning" and related. As can be seen from my attached CV, during my tenure as a PhD candidate supervised by Prof. Pompili, I have worked on several research projects pertaining to these areas. I have also gathered additional experience from my industrial research internships at Microsoft Research, Honda Research Institute, among others.Furthermore, I am happy to inform that I have gained sufficient exposure to research grant writing by assisting my advisor in drafting several funding proposals (each ranging from $50K to $2M) submitted to federal funding agencies such as NSF, DARPA, ONR, USAFA, DHS, etc.Finally, I’m a self-motivated and hardworking individual which can be seen from my academic honors/achievements, list of publications, research projects and strong academic record with 4.0/4.0 GPA.Authorized to work in the US for any employer.
