Prior to REI, Vik was an Associate Principal in McKinsey & Company’s Seattle Office, where he spent 8 years specializing in operations (e.g., lean transformation programs, procurement, direct material cost reduction) and strategy (business unit strategy, technology strategy, long term forecasting) for industrial clients including automotive, aerospace, and mining and metals. Vik has worked globally with significant time spent in the US, Canada, China, Australia, and UK.Vik's outdoor adventures include high altitude mountaineering, where in 2011 he became one of ~350 people and the first Indian American to complete the 7 Summits, summiting the tallest peak on each continent including Mt. Everest. He also enjoys trail running, skiing, and rock & ice climbing. Vik is active in the Seattle community and serves as a leader, volunteer instructor, and past Board President at The Mountaineers and is on the Board of Director's for the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust.
