Was one of only a handful of new hires into Apple's first sales team that had NOT worked for the rep firm before. Had the honor and privilege of working under the late Bill Campbell (who was called "coach", since he had been the head football coach at Columbia University before Steve hired him at Apple). Was initially assigned all of the ComputerLand stores in the Maryland, Virginia, DC and Delaware territory -- working out of Apple's office in Columbia, Maryland near DC. After only one year in that role was promoted and reassigned to Apple's #1 reseller worldwide, the largest reseller in terms of per storefront sales anywhere in the world, Clinton Computer. Also called on Frederick Computer (also in the top 5 worldwide) and Math Box Inc. (later known simply as "MBI"). By the end of 2nd year in the job had become the number one sales rep worldwide in terms of per-storefront productivity out of over 2,000 reps at that time. Stayed in that role for five years and was promoted and relocated to Atlanta to run all reseller sales operations and marketing for the Southeast US. Served in that role for two years before being recruited to run the Eastern US sales organization for Radius. Show less
