As Director of Enterprise Architecture, I am responsible for overseeing the day to day technical operations of the pre-sales architecture team. Along with a leadership role, I will maintain covering Enterprise accounts from a solution architecture perspective as well as helping to define and shape the technical direction of the pre-sales team.

Responsible for managing and developing the pre-sales architecture team in order to provide top tier technical expertise and support for the sales efforts of the North Sales Team.

In my role as a presales solutions architect, I support the account executives in helping our clients define, build, and implement business oriented IT solutions. By assessing business needs and current IT requirements, I work with the rest of the account team to find the correct mix of traditional/ emerging IT infrastructure and cloud technologies to address our clients needs.

Vic served as a technical solutions architect supporting the PA/ NJ Commercial and SLED teams. Vic focused on data center architecture as well as emerging Cloud and DevOps solutions to help customers solve their complex IT strategies. This included complete data center refreshes (storage, servers, networking), application performance optimization, VDI, backup and disaster recovery solutions as well as Cloud and DevOps integration strategies (i.e. Azure, Office 365, Containers, etc.). Not only was Vic responsible for designing the underlying infrastructure, but he was also responsible for scoping the services that were required to implement the architected solution. In this capacity Vic was able to help his account executives identify, articulate, scope, and close opportunities which ultimately accelerated the sales cycle and helped maintain customer expectations and timelines.

Supporting Philadelphia/ S. Jersey/ Delaware are for Coho Data, the premier web-scale storage solution that marries Software Defined Networking (SDN) with Software Defined Storage (SDS) with PCIe Flash.

• Lead technical resource supporting the North East division of Alliance Technology Group. Secondary responsibility is to support any corporate imitative where my skill set is appropriate.• Leading evangelist for developing Alliance’s flash technology strategy and corporate messaging around this emerging technology.• Daily responsibilities are comprised of identifying business specific requirements from customers, and then designing solutions that address the issue. This includes architecture, design, build of material creation, quote/proposal development, and TCO/ROI analysis.

Operated as lead architect for the storage infrastructure for Siemens Medical Solutions hospital information services environment, which was a fully managed IT infrastructure that hosts multiple hospital's full suite of operating applications (Sorian). Primary responsibilities were to head up the SAN infrastructure tech refresh and act as the subject matter expert in regards to storage technology.

• Standard responsibilities included strategic guidance and architecture, as well as tactical implementation of storage and business continuity technologies that spanned the entire enterprise. This included EMC CLARiiON, Celerra, Cisco & Brocade SAN switch, DMX, and VMax physical and virtual designs, architectures, and provisioning; as well as developing SRDF and Cloning solutions to support a wide range of test/dev/production environments.• Tasked with, and successfully delivered, storage kpi’s and reporting standards that allowed senior management to accurately forecast fiscal year 2011’s storage consumption. Was also the lead in developing subsequent storage trending analysis and usage reports.• Was consistently assigned as the IT liaison and lead architect to other business units to help identify and develop their business needs/requirements while keeping the project within budget and scope.

Fulfilled a 3 month contract position to augment JPMC's initiative to create a FTS (follow the sun) support model, which consolidated a geographically dispersed support team, into three primary support centers located in Houston, TX, Columbus, OH, and India. In this role, I provided upper tier support for complex datacenter solutions; which encompassed 90+PB of storage and over 100 unique data centers spanning North America and EMEA (Eastern, Middle Eastern Area).

Solutions Architect, TME (Telco, Media, and Entertainment)Responsible for providing technical design/consultation expertise to the EMC sales team assigned to a major managed services organization based in Texas. This included meeting with the customer and affected business units to determine requirements, then, based on these requirements, design and create the appropriate quotes that the sales team could present to the customer.Assigned to a residency as a lead architect responsible for designing and managing the implementation of a massive, multi-site, multi-storage frame data migration that encompassed multiple server types, operating systems and business unit requirements/considerations.Developed a tool that allowed upper management to accurately scope complex storage performance service offerings.Was consistently approached by management to help resolve severe issues at other accounts when they arose.Was assigned to be a mentor to a new hire assigned to the account that I was on. This included developing his technical ability, teaching him the proper way to interface with customers, and the policies and procedures internal to EMC.

TME (Telco, Media, and Entertainment)Manage complex storage infrastructure solutions to be implemented in the telecom, media, and entertainment verticals.Currently have worked with Verizon OnLine, Verizon SuperPages, T-Mobile, Comcast, Cisco Systems, Nokia, EDS, and Cox Communications. Was the lead project manager on these accounts responsible for resource management, timelines and schedules, problem resolution/escalation, and the over-all status of the projects. Made sure to create a process flow that was conducive to the success of the projects.Emphasis put on customer satisfaction and meeting or exceeding revenue margin for the project.Engage in pre-sales activities to show, and help close the sales cycle, the value add and the impact that a world class Professional Services organization can make on a project. This includes lower implementation costs, proven methodology, and a higher success rate on projects.

This position has spanned from the Internet Solutions group all the way to the Global Solutions Group, Hopkinton Solutions Center.Developed "best practices" based around EMC's web-hosting business, to be sold as a service and implemented in customer's data centers.Used "best practices" to design data center solutions for high availability storage and connectivity, using SAN, NAS, LAN, and WAN technology.Responsibilities included determining design specifications, project management, project implementation, team lead, as well as being the technical interface between the sales team and the customer. Major implementations include AT&T Ultravailable, NASD, and Teleglobe, a division of Bell Canada.Developed a customizable three-week "boot camp" training course that was implemented as a Global Technical Training core offering that focused on EMC product integration within enterprise-class data centers.

EDM Technical OperationsHelped to develop a prototype group that performed interoperability, real world, and unstructured testing. Also was responsible for customer problem re-creation and analysis.Daily technical duties included installation and upkeep of "enterprise" servers, storage devices, and network backbone equipment. Also responsible for validating EDM against its interoperability matrix (hardware platforms, operating systems, SAN/LAN/WAN hardware, and applications).Excellent understanding of SAN concepts and hardware design/integration.Daily business duties included managing enhancement projects, interfacing with engineering and customer service personnel, revamping the training curriculum, overseeing testing scenarios, maintaining the lab, and any other projects that would enhance the product or streamline the customer service organization.Constantly provided input as to how the organization could be improved. "Out of the box" thinking was encouraged.Three years experience in enterprise level backup and restore architecture and implementation.Extensive knowledge of SAN design concepts and hardware.

Acted as the technical liaison to the sales representative.Helped the sales representatives and customers understand the technical issues and solutions through all stages of the sales cycle.Designed, wrote, and analyzed detailed SAN proposals, statements of work, and post mortems for projects.
