Central rating system for SME clients. A platform was designed to provide risk management and sales department with general scaled credit rating for each potential/existing legal entity client. It is now capable to provide automated rating calculation for scalar legal entity as well as for a group of companies based on its included members. System uses companies financial reports (income statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets). A custom analytical database model development (basing on business department reporting and functional needs). This DWH was designed in order to provide risk management and distressed assets department with as actual as possible verified data about bank's credit portfolio and non-core assets portfolio. For appropriate risk management procedures some kinds of a data needed to be fresh, fresher than central DWH was capable to provide. So, it is an extension for existing DWH, with a feature: critical important data is updating during the work day.The main difficulty on this position was a non-structured workflow. Business used to rearrange priorities and provide us with undeveloped development requests. Another issue was the bureaucracy, that usually slows down processes in general.Lead System Analyst.Team structure: technical dev team: 3 members, analytical team: 10 members, management team: 3 members.Responsibilities:• Reporting forms development• Analytical data model development• ETL procedures development• Different data sources integrationAchievements:• The all new non-core bank assets data model was developed. This model first provided the whole bank with non-core bank assets reporting. As it was developed, an understanding of the cost, structure and dynamics of sales of a portfolio of non-core assets has come.• A large refactoring of a retail assets analytical data model was performed. This set of actions allowed us to reduce the memory used to store data and to increase the reading speed in general. After the refactoring we've developed a graphical physical model that helps analysts to develop select's.• The problem assets scoring models was implemented into regular business. Using this models, that provide predictions of the risk events, business has become able to perform more smart collection strategies.• A promotion from Lead Analyst to Lead System Analyst was earned

The main challenge for me was the need of learning fast SQL and DWH concepts. As an economist, I didn't know anything about technical side of the subject. Lucky me, I've met very qualified DWH and SAP architect there. Looking at my passion in learning, he showed me a lot of tricks in SAP BO report constructor as well as he taught me the main 3-rd normal form concept. And many others DWH concepts.
