Veronique served as the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, Navdeep Bains’ official spokesperson and worked with national and regional media daily. She provided strategic communications advice for the Minister's interviews, appearances (speeches, panels) and has extensive experience in crisis communications management.

Veronique served as the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour’s official spokesperson and worked with national and regional media for online, print, and broadcast stories. She accompanied the Minister within the Parliamentary Precinct and on various tours and visits across the country. Veronique developed strong relationships with communications staffers in the sector.

Veronique traveled ahead, researched, planned, and executed public appearances, photo opportunities, and platform announcements made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. As a member of one of the campaign’s two francophone advance teams, she worked mainly in Quebec and Eastern Canada.

Veronique supported the Executive Director of Communications and Planning (formerly Director of Communications), Kate Purchase. She also supported Deputy Directors and the 15+ person communications team.

Veronique drafted a range of communications products and managed MacKinnon's social media accounts. When the member was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Services and Procurement, his media presence increased. Veronique coordinated with media and ensured he was adequately briefed.

As a member of the public affairs group, Veronique worked across the Ottawa office on a variety of national and international client files. She was a member of the team that covered the 2015 Canadian federal election and created the H+K Election Emojis which were recognized by the New York Times.
