Sr Product Manager, App Growth & Engagement

San Mateo, Ca, Us

If you've ever tagged your keys, bike, laptop bag, or wallet, you've probably used some of the features I worked on.Tile is a location intelligence platform and device manufacturer that relies on Bluetooth and mobile technology, with firmware enabled physical "tags" to help users triangulate the location of any analog object tagged with a tile. A tiny but mighty team with only 100 people at the time, we initially introduced the brand new tracker category that later on took off with giants like Apple and gained our first 1,000,000 active engaged consumers during my time.I was the only mobile PM, on a product team of 5 spread across platform and monetization, and worked on strategic, NPS boosting engagement efforts for the company, including delivering a massive new undertaking for proactive "object separation", i.e. smart alerts. With my oversight, we developed new metrics, talked live to customers to unpack and understand critical journeys and prioritize use case buckets to completely redefine focus for Tile as a platform. With only 30% initial accuracy rate on our alerts from the initial beta test, I saw to improve accuracy on this beta product to more than 70%, by continuous engineering efforts in logging, troubleshooting, analysis, and finetuning. My feature would substantially increase utility from Tile, by allowing preempting of potential separation from a valuable object like a wallet, before it's lost for good. This led to new market opportunity, measured engagement up-tick and improved usage of the Tile app, and propensity to renew subscriptions. Smart alerts went on to become a key offering in the premium product.I also expanded community features, allowing users to more actively tap into their active networks, to enhance the value proposition for shared objects like lost car keys.On the side, I started a successful Tile chess club, which quickly collected 10% of our team in regular play, as well as a tea club.patents.justia.com/assignee/tile-inc
