Davey is recognised as a market leader for water transfer, water conservation, treatment, and filtration, in Australia and New Zealand and exports to 47 countries. Revenue in FY23 was $120m, operating EBIT of $7m, ~270 staff, with manufacturing in Victoria and 7 distribution centers, serving 2,600 customers, retail pump / pool shops and distributors, across ANZ, EMEA, USA and Asia.During 2021-2023, I led the turnaround, growth, and repositioning after a decade of poor performance, market share declines, under-investment, and significant operational challenges compounded by COVID global supply chain disruptions. I built a high-caliber executive leadership team, raised new equity to re-capitalise through the severe drought conditions, exited poor preforming long-term property leases, divested non-core table grape and citrus farming assets and re-positioned the business for growth in the Health, Organics and Better-for-you segments. Launched 52 new innovative skus and the new MRO brand into mainstream retail with national store ranging across Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, and Metcash across breakfast cereals, confectionary, specialty oils, snacking and dried fruit & nut categories.I left MRG to take up the opportunity with Davey Water.
