MRG had revenues of $60m, +200 permanent and seasonal staff, controlling over 4,900 hectares across 13 farms (Sunraysia) of which 2300ha is arable land for development, operates a state-of-the-art dried fruit processing center (NSW), processing/packaging facility (VIC) and a 4,000 sqm DC servicing industrial & retail customers.Over my three years 2018-2020, I led the turnaround and restructuring of the underperforming business and launched a new Five-Year Strategy focused on building the largest organic food brand in the region. I built a high-caliber executive leadership team, raised new equity to re-capitalise through the severe drought conditions, exited poor preforming long-term property leases, divested non-core table grape and citrus farming assets and re-positioned the business for growth in the Health, Organics and Better-for-you segments. Launched 52 new innovative skus and the new MRO brand into mainstream retail with national store ranging across Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, and Metcash across breakfast cereals, confectionary, specialty oils, snacking and dried fruit & nut categories.I left MRG to take up the opportunity with Davey Water.
