I was the Assistant to the Resident Twinning Advisor (RTA) of the EU-funded Twinning Project "AZ 17 ENI AG 01 20: Strengthening Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures in Azerbaijan" implemented by the State Plant Protection Service of the Republic of Latvia, practically acting as the National Coordinator of the project. I started as a Project Manager at FAO for the project "MTF/AZE/007/STF: Strengthening Phytosanitary Inspection and Diagnostic Services in Azerbaijan" on 27 June 2016. Since then, I was able to grow as a professional, and was involved in the other projects in FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in Azerbaijan. I was acting as a Country Program Officer for our Office under the supervision of the Head of Program Unit since 17 January 2017.Responsibilities:- Management of several ongoing local projects and contributing to the events within the regional ones;- Direct involvement into budget formulation, controlling allocations, monitoring expenditures, formulation and realization of the work plans, revisions according to the needs of the projects, preparation of the progress and terminal reports;- Direct collaboration with the Projects' Task Forces, the Project Management Units, the National Project Steering Committees, the Lead Technical Officers (LTO), the national and international consultants/experts, and other stakeholders, facilitation of the respective missions/meetings/events;- Organization and management of events, boosting visibility of the projects;- Leading organization of the project related tenders, acting as the main Requester;- Operating of the project profiles in the Field Programme Management Information System (FPMIS).

I worked for several local employers (both state and private) on different positions starting from a volunteer and/or temporary recruit helping to organize events of various level including exhibitions and training, and becoming the assistant to the managers and an accountant. During this period, I gained valuable experience in project and event management (on top of the already gained knowledge and skills during the internships, BCs and MSc which were done before Oct 2015), marketing, sales, accounting, interpretation/translation.
