Profile bio

About Varun Vyas

The way I started as a mechanical engineer was my love for machines since my childhood days. I remember sitting in my dad's car as a kid and wondering how this thing works. From breaking multiple gadgets at my home and annoying my parents, I have learned a lot about machines and how they work. This passion for machines and the motivation to know how they work has always stayed with me, which was enough to get a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have always had a deep interest in exploring everything about the industry and have always diversified my profile to do so. The way I began my career as Mechanical Engineer was being a Design Engineer with Volvo and Eicher group in India. The job was very promising and interesting, but I felt a lack. The lack was my inadequate knowledge of machine testing and simulation. I felt that I could not be a good design engineer until I know how the machines are tested/simulated (or as a kid version of me would say, until I knew how they break). I can only design good machines, if I know how they can fail.Diversifying my profile into the simulation world, I have been part of structural analysis and multibody dynamic analysis teams in the past 5 years. This has been an amazing experience to know how the machines experience loads and how the loads affect the fatigue life and durability of the machine. This experience also allowed me to interact with multiple design engineers and to be an important asset in solving their problems with intuitive solutions. Be it machine simulation, I have always been a design engineer at heart. My area of expertise include Structural Analysis, Multibody Dynamic Analysis and Design Engineering Principles.Skills: ★ Technical: Multi-Body Dynamics, Practical FEA, Fatigue/Durability Analysis, Structural Dynamics★ Simulation Tools: Abaqus, NASTRAN, Hypermesh, HyperView, nCode, MATLAB, Simulink/Simscape, Git/GitHub, Object Oriented Programming (MATLAB)★ Design Software: CAD, Pro-E/Creo, Solidworks, Teamcenter (JT), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)★ Professional: Team Worker, Critical Thinking, Presentation, Design Ideation

Listed skills include Ansys, Matlab, Finite Element Analysis, Pro Engineer, and 13 others.
