Buy-In Community Planning's work uses geospatial data and participatory planning to help households and local governments develop equitable home buyout programs. Buy-In's platform was a finalist in the 2020 MIT designX accelerator program and the 2020 Conservation X Tech prize. My research with Buy-In was presented as a part of the 2022 Consortium for Scenario Planning, facilitated by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. My work with Buy-In led to their acquiring funds for creating an exploratory scenario planning workshop for communities considering buyouts. In order to achieve this result, I:• Drafted persuasive marketing content for Buy-In's website in order to attract prospective clients.• Constructed and maintained comprehensive informational databases on existent buyout programs and other relevant literature, which facilitated decision-making processes for future projects.• Fostered strategic inter-organizational partnerships alongside the Executive Director, which expanded the company's reach and unlocked new funding opportunities.
